I've been without a Gibson for quite a while. My focus and love has been Stratocasters. I felt the need for a nice Humbucker guitar and the new SG's caught my attention. I was going to go for a Black Standard, but when I saw the new Moderns and the specs I had to have one!
These new SG Moderns have a solid Maple Cap just like a Les Paul and they have Ebony Fretboards which is something I just love. They come with Coil Tapped Burstbucker pickups and Locking Tuners as well.
These come in a nice Hard Case and have some cool swag to include a Gibson Branded Multi-Tool and Leather Strap.
The guitar was absolutely flawless out of the box. Nice smooth frets and a well cut nut! Nice low action and intonated almost perfectly. Nothing to complain about at all!
One feature I love is the side mounted output jack!
