Good observation, but the spalting in the main body is rather exquisite IMO. The crack on the solid walnut body would always bother me. The rest of this guitar is made from the same slab of walnut, and the back does it justice.I don't care for this patchwork looking spot on the spalted...I'd pass and try to get a big discount on the Walnut...

Now there is an idea!If you paint the whole thing flat black the patchwork won't show.

I have also asked myself that. However, this guy is precise in the measurements he has asked me for and his other guitars are well reviewed. Is it my eyes? The thru holes for the strings look to be in an odd arc instead of straight.
Yes, he has a lot of nice stuff!!That is a BEAUTIFUL axe indeed, maybe I am picking at nothing, I would think the string holes would follow the saddle bridge pieces. I admit I do not know all the science behind string and scale length. If the impact of lenght stops at the bridge then it would not matter I guess. Damn that's a gorgeous finish on that guitar.
Whoa, that almost went in the wrong direction........I love you Sp8ctre, I want to have your baby!
Haaa Haaa Haaa
Well maybe not that much ;-)
