Yeah, no kidding... Gasket was able to spot the crack all the way from Australia...Total bummer, but at least you found out now.
Gasket, Ambassador of Eagle Eyes!!

So, it is through the body and secured with epoxy and sawdust. I have asked for a refund. Thanks to Gasket for his eagle eyes.
It was a through body crack. he also said it was most apparent when looking at the heel and was going to send me additional photos. I was not comfortable and backed out. However, I may just get the other body he has from the same blank, presently unfinished. He will show me tonight.I said in post #9 "I wouldn't call it a show stopper, BUT is this a crack?"
Depending on the original price and what you may be able to get it down to now it doesn't have to be a show stopper. It could still be a beautiful addition to your collection.
I am very appreciative to you for pointing it out. Thanks again!I said in post #9 "I wouldn't call it a show stopper, BUT is this a crack?"

EDIT: Never mind, you found out the answer......
Curious, is there anyone here who would have kept it, and at what price?
My cost is/was $300 USD shipped .You may have picked up from the tone in my previous comments, YES I would have happily kept it even with the crack.
Price ... parts and complete guitars in Australia don't compare in ANY way with your US valuation. I think with a "stable" crack and as presented in photos I'd be in the Aust $100 area.
no--- but then I try not to pay that much for 2 whole function guitars........so Im not a good barometer....My cost is/was $300 USD shipped .
