NEW SONG IDEAS

I agree man. My life has actually been kinda broken and fukked up lately, I spend a lot of time (too much time) being angry....playing/writing has been a good release. I know you're dealing with a lot yourself, but at least you and your wife share the same passion for music. My wife is probably gonna leave me over it. No joke...she doesn't like music (who tf doesn't like music?!)and can't stand it when I touch a guitar, but I am not going to stop playing. I was playing before I met her and I intend to play until I die, it's as much a part of me as my legs or nose is...

Okay, that's enough of me being sorry for myself...lol

Hydrate. Hydrate with *not* alcohol. Sad, but true. Smoking is not conducive to vocal stamina either.
I’m speaking from experience...sadly.
I got away with it for a while, but it seems to catch up eventually...and little by little, I was done in shorter time. Six weeks after I stopped smoking, and quit drinking at gigs, it was like a switch had been flipped. I was able to make it through longer rehearsals and gigs than I had in a long time...with better quality range than I can ever remember having...and it’s painfully obvious when reviewing rehearsal recordings.
I do vape, but that’s what I used to quit smoking. I do enjoy my beer too, but not when getting paid or recording.

Srry to hear that. The music sharing does help. I always wonder if people who don't play will ever understand...it's like a Painter..writer....if you can't do what you love..it bottles up

That a tough situation...had similar situation many years ago..basically ended up alone with no support, even tho i did what she liked & didnt complain..but the nasty faces & being told your music will never go anywhere...then some crap comes on the radio & it aint even music & they like it .her whole family basically made fun of me. never had support.. got so angry also..the songs were full of hate. Some people are so selfish..i never cheated & was doing something constructive actually

Right? Exactly. Seems like there are a lot of dirtbags out there that cheat or abuse and so on, here I am just doing some harmless playing or writing and she's just like... venomous and nasty towards me ALL THE TIME about it... she doesn't seem to understand that without music I would probably just explode like that bus in the movie Speed lol

I dunno. Life is tough sometimes. Guess I just gotta roll with the punches and deal with it.
 
Last night I came up with a variation riff for a song of mine called Stratosphere, I was six beers in so a little bit more to get timing correct and then make it go fluidly wit the rest of the song and I will post it, just the variation.
