New Family Build - Amp Cab

Future site of handles. Not great, but not bad for my 1st time with a jigsaw. Thanks for the idea SuperBlade!

Make sure there's a full seal when you add the recessed handle assembly and the speaker jack assembly.

BTW... this is an awesome thread...

More cuts, this time from birch plywood. Shown is the back, baffle, and a frame for the grill. The baffle is 1/2 inch larger than the back because I am thinking about making a 1/4 inch groove on the inside of the box to fit the baffle nice and snug, and help me practice with my new router. I am getting more confident with the table saw.

Now that looks like some quality wood...

You do know how to set the depth on that Router w/o a plunge base don't you?
Yes, I practiced tonight. This unit is fairly easy to use.

I got the plunge router on ebay for less than 1/2 price. It was in pretty good shape and I think it will last considering how many times I will get to use it.

Same thing. WGS Green Beret
Sweet... So 50 watt rating on the cab. The 12 incher will be more dominate by 3 db's. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it is. The punchiness and kick of the 10" should still come thru. This should sound nice... :fingersx:

20170616_213128_zpszjmyaix8.JPG 20170616_213132_zpsnnddcvik.JPG Keeping a router straight is tough, mostly because it is tough to see the line. I did not do a good job, but I got progressively better. Then I cleaned up my work with a file. Guess which one was my first attempt!!
