New Build

Sorry to hear of your loss plexi.
What B+ are you looking for? Maybe a 1202-133 PT (Brian can have one wound for you), as found in some JTM50's. Has the same secondary voltages as the JTM45's 1202-55 but higher current capability to accommodate EL34's, so around 350VAC a side yielding a B+ of 460 with tube rectification & 475 plus with SS rectification. Cheers

The last one's I built I used the JTM-45 1202-55 PT worked fine. I had 471 volts B+1 Marstran said that PT could run a quad of EL34's
I repaired the Axis amp OH My 471 Volts B+1

I don't care to get personal on this. Anna was the love of my life we were friends since age 11 Anna was one day older than I we would have been 60 this June.
She was robbed beaten raped and stabbed seven times and left for dead she lasted 6 days after. Why I will never know.

Firstly, my deepest condolences plexi.
I think I remember reading somewhere on Brian's site about him powering a quad of EL34's with a 1202-55. I've been running a duet with one for years with no problems, B+1 476V. Cheers

Holy sh!t man, that's some pretty heavy stuff to experience. We humans can be extremely loving, caring, and compassionate. But we also can commit such barbaric and immoral acts that probably the most savage of all animals would not be capable of.

You have my sincere condolences, and may your Anna R.I.P.

Phil at Heyboer has all ways been great help and winds the best transformers in the world my opinion Phil winds the Marstran and the Merren Audio transformers and Mojotone.

I see the JTM45 is 450v and the JMP50 is 420v Merren Audio - Marshall Transformers Looks like I've been beating a dead horse.

I checked with Mojotone they are out of stock on the JTM45 PT. $100.00 Marstran special order $155.00 Merren Audio I have no Idea.

Sorry to hear of your loss, and the horrific circumstances of it.

I typed the line above about a half an hour ago, and just sat here.
I am just stunned and deeply saddened.

I greatly admire your work and posts here Mr. Plexi, as I have said on several occasions.
Please take good care of yourself and keep sharing with us as you feel up to it.

I won't say the brand but went through 5 new china made guitar amps at the music store today all of them blown up filter capacitors total trash you get what you pay for if your lucky.
I will cost more in shipping than the amps dealer cost. HA HA HA...........................

The great news today is my friend Joe and I have free access to a bunch of gold mining claims we keep what we get 100% should be a killer summer.

I just voltage tested a 1968 1202-118 it's 355-0-355 710 volts B+1 no load that's what I recall the vintage Marshall's JMP-50 were.

Strange I might be losing my mind I just checked pin 3 on the power tube 467 volts DC Why I was getting 446 volts DC the other day ???

I can deal with 467 Volts DC B+1 the Dumble amp #183 is 465 volts DC B+1

Good thing I was trained to wire and test the power section first and work my way to the preamp I troubleshoot amps the same way

I wish I had learned to work on amps. Very envious of those of you who can fix and build them.
