LiveeviL’s Guitar Rescue Lab.

The Mean Green Machine is assembled. All it needs now is some small setup adjustments and it’s complete.
I added speed knobs that have a subtle green ring on them and I put a set of green strings on it (10s). They look cool, but the coating flakes off quickly on the high E string. It already started flaking off while I was tuning it.
I’ll take proper pictures later.

Actually I use a soft towel anytime I am doing extensive work on guitars. I find the chances of scratches happening are reduced dramatically, plus I can use it to wipe off fingerprints when I'm done :D. I use my actual mat when its something simple like cleaning, string changes, light setups.

Dude, I LOVE how this one turned out! That's outstanding!

I have a Jackson Kelly that this would look absolutely wicked on! What do you think? If you were gonna do a crackle like that one one a Kelly, which color scheme would you go with?

Great. Now the wheels in my head are spinnin' again lol

All hail Vito crackle master!!!!!!

I think red & black would be cool.

Just finished putting this one back together. In the middle of setting up “Ride the Lightning. “ … on my designer mat that @syscokid loves so much. :ROFLMAO:
The patterns on this one came out pretty cool.
Today will be a big photo shoot to get these guitars ready to find a new home.

Man. The color choices are endless.

With black crackle, you would want to go bright base colors. The brighter the more striking. Bright greens, yellows, orange, reds and some bright blues.

Other crackle colors to consider which would look cool are Blue Crackle with a white undercoat.
Like this.

Or reverse that and do white crackle over any dark color.
