Since it looks like I won’t be able to play for a couple of months until my wrist heals up. I need to do something with guitars. I guess I need to be around it in some way.

I found 2 bronze series warlocks that are in desperate need of a make over and a new home.

The first one I’m going to show here is all black with original BCR pickups which are always super hot. (18.46 bridge / 16.87 neck)

Here it is taken apart.

Somebody replace the volume and tone pots and did a piss poor job while also using terrible pots.

The body is really scratched up, the headstock has some damage on the horn tips. Nothing I can’t fix up.

The neck is nice a straight although it will need an adjustment. The fingerboard and frets need to be polished, cleaned up, and treated.

This is after I hit the body with 2000 grit sandpaper.

Since I’m working with a gimpy hand. The end result took me longer than usual. A little over 8 1/2 hours.

Really nice work! What will you be using for final polish..
I use Music Nomad guitar polish. Give it a good buffing with that. Then I use 3D 403 Final Touch.
It’s a clay finish lubricant. It makes you gloss finish almost smudge resistant.
It’s also great if you want to give your guitar body a quick cleaning after you play to get rid of light dirt and smudges.
Just spray it on a microfiber cloth and wipe dry.

You can see a picture of it in the last picture I posted. I was getting ready to do it and I decided to do it after I put the wiring harness back in.

My grandson found this acoustic. And he wants me to fix it. He offered to go to the ice cream shop with me and have me buy him a 2 scoop cup of rockyroad.
He drives a hard bargain. So I accepted the job.

This thing needs …. An honest to god miracle!!
Needs…
tuners.
The neck needs to straightened.
The frets need massive work.
The fretboard is in really bad shape.
And the stickers …. Well. The finish will involve more weather proof vinyl stickers. About 150 of them total to cover the entire guitar front and back. Including the headstock.
All the parts I need should be here by tomorrow.
