I guess I missed the chapter in the self-help books where it suggested I consume more Black Sabbath for
a productive, happy life. Perhaps I skimmed over. My wife has a rule, you are what you eat. I don't agree it's
entirely true, but there's some seeds of truth there.
Now, I also can't say I'm entirely knowledgeable about Sabbath. I listened through the whole 70's catalog and
more a number of years back when I had a BS inspired strap order, and I will say I was pleasantly
surprised. But I've only gone back for the RJD stuff that I felt was far superior to the earlier recordings.
I know Sabbath purists won't agree. It's a Roth/Hagar, Bon/Brian sort of thing I think, but I just didn't get it.
Maybe I just don't care for Ozzy, it's probably coloring my whole perception.
Thinking about it even harder, I lean more towards Zep anyway. There's just more joy. Thank You,
Celebration Day, even Good Times, Bad Times, has some joy... when he still don't seem to care....
Sabbath has no Kashmir, no Going to California, no Fool in the Rain, Rain Song, or Ramble On.
They possibly have an Immigrant song, a Black Dog, Gallow's Pole maybe almost a Stairway in that period?
Your vote is changeable though @Clockworkmike - there's still time to change the road you're on
