Led Zeppelin takes down Pink Floyd, buy a rather convincing margin. Seems all that psychedelic navel-gazing got the better of Floyd and Bonzo was able to drum up a lot of support for his mates.

I don't think I would have predicted this final battle match-up, but I'll bet some of you might have.

I feel I know many TTR members a little better through this whole process, and really that was kind of the goal to foster guitar fellowship, talk about our experiences, weigh and measure. But ultimately each of could easily agree Music/art is not a contest, really. How it hits each of us personally is of highest importance, and that is immeasurable.

But still it's fun to compare apples to oranges, innit?

Lets go! The final leg is Led Zeppelin vs Black Sabbath

Vote will remain open for two days.

@TVvoodoo , just a quick question...

I notice you have the poll set to close tomorrow at 10:12 (EDT), yet this contest began yesterday at 10:12 (EDT).

Are you intending to keep it open for 48 hours, or is that a mistake?

It doesn't matter to me; it's your call. I just wanted to point that out in case you really meant for the poll to be open for only 24 hours, which would mean it should close tonight.

I figured for this last battle I'd stretch out the conversation a bit.

While it's plain that Pagey did a little more than "borrow" some ideas, and he and Bonzo were half in the bag for much of Zeppelin's time, they had Peter Grant, AND The Starship!

Black Sabbath had too much angry sad music, and plodding riffage that would scare off all but witch chicks.

Desert island rule. Two months of pure Sabbath, I've got crazy eyes, am famished and making a vine rope to hang myself from a coconut tree. Two months of Zep, I've built a shelter, spearfishing, have a pen of wild chickens, and am enjoying fermented coconut milk (responsibly). Planes fly over, and I hide so they can't find me.

If Sabbath depresses you, maybe it ain't the music lol
