And I am grateful for our mods here which are unquestionably the best mods on the internet! Because they do such a great job, they don't really have much work to do because the slightest bit of misbehavior is nipped in the bud leaving only fine people in our membership! One big happy family of refugees from previous forums that have been bought out or just had a staff of power trippers. This will be our 10th year of existence and I'm happy to say there has been only a handful of banished members. Mostly scammer spammersYeah. and I still worry about @WavMixer after that move.
Actually what went down was, we had a couple admins retire from being admins leaving Grant to fend for himself. We'd also recently had a member that was a mod pass away. I've been here almost from the beginning.... in fact it was @WavMixer that invited me to TTR. We knew each other from etsg. So myself and @Mitch Pearrow SJMP were both invited to be mods. And now you know the rest of the story.

Built mine & sold it like a dummy , was a bad move. It sure is tough to let em go. Did 83 Mustang Gt up after that. Sold it. Think I have 1 more build left in me if i can get semi retired sooner or later
And if I could add after reading other forums being bought out. Don't know if there's any others out there, but for the new folks here. TTR is member funded. Those that can, donate a few bucks a year to help Grant keep this place up and running. And our membership is small. Usually running around 600 members.

I don't know how much you know about VerticalScope Inc. but the Marshall Forum is as good as done.
The mylespaul forum will follow suit.
There have only been 2 advertisers on TTR and both are members. One advertiser we lost during covid and the other advertiser is a beloved well hung leather artist that is unable to sell his artistry here in the US due to new terrifs being charged to our Canadian brother.
Speaking of donations it will soon be time to start up collections again. The bills start rolling in October thru December so I try to take collections early so as not to tap into our members holiday funds. As I have said many times before, this is not MY forum. It is OUR forum, all of us the membership here, for without all of us, there would be no TTR. Some of us can afford to donate money. Some of us can afford to donate time and posts. All members are equally appreciated and valued. No cork sniffers here. Whether you are a professional musician with a catrillion dollar gear collection or a poor working stiff that barely knows where the E string is, you are judged only by the kind of person you are. We do not put up with jerks. We have had some professional studio musicians in our fold and unfortunately you can now find some of them in the Fallin Stars area, God rest their souls.

I sincerely hope this comes across as being completely petty, but I'm totally thrilled with all new members to TTR coming from the Marshall Forum.
It's a shame what they're doing over on that forum, and I'd love to see the brain drain continue.

I've been on the MF for quite a while, around 12 years or so, and have had tons of interactions with Cross through the years. Credit where due, he and DOD were the ones basically running the place until Alex stepped out. And I do agree that the Cross we've been seeing in recent times isn't the same guy we've always known. I don't know what he has going on IRL, but I hope he gets through whatever has been weighing him down. He's always been a chill dude before.

Steve my brother, I say you should build it yourself. If anyone has the talent to do it, it's you. Remember my first Plexi, and my first build, the JTM45? I love that amp over any other that I've built. Plexi's are special. Even more so when you've built it yourself.I'm sitting here right now forcing myself to not pull the trigger! I've had work coming in and I have the money, but I need to hold off until I know more is coming. I was going to do the kit and build it myself, but I don't think I'm up for it. I'll probably get the assemble amp minus the head shell and tubes.
I was just measuring my white Sourmash head shell (the Lil' Devil cab) to make sure it'll fit. It will, but the front panel opening isn't tall enough. I'd rather buy a new head shell, but that'll cost me. If I decide to use the shell I have I'll need Sourmash to make me a new front panel to use it. That probably won't be a problem, but I'd rather it be black. Decisions, decisions.

I get it, brother I do and I appreciate your confidence, but I'm not a steady as I was back when I built the Lil' Devil and I can't see as well either. My stroke messed me up in the attention to detail department. That coupled with my anxiety disorder I don't have the patience I had back then. I don't trust myself to pull it off without issues and the last thing I want is an amp that I question it's reliability.
