@chilipeppermaniac - I think its gonna be a Randall
HOLY crap look at all the knobs and switches on the Mark 5 --- you have this one Gball???????
Robert, I would make sure you give any potential amp choices a good test out. And if possible, buy from a place that gives a no BS 30 day free return type deal. That way you can test it at home and if it is junk, take it back.
Do you still have that VHT/Fryette Sig-X? You like?I had a Splawn Quick Rod, I'm part of Splawn's Artist Group, had that amp for years. I also had Soldano Averger, but had Mike mod it for me to use EL-34 tubes. the production number was A-0091 and he only made one other like it.

Get one of each...![]()
Hmmm maybe you could pick up a beast at a fraction of new cost at a pawn shop etc and then get the Good stuff and yet be thrifty as well.
I figured since u are not in an all fired hurry. What harm is there in being a bit thorough?
I thought the Kirk Hammett KH15 was good too.
looks cool!

I should mail Gball my Laney and have him find me a local Laney Amp wizard he trusts to work some magic on it. Then you 2 could let your guitars break in the new wires and circuit parts after the tech fixes Mickey Mouse's damage.
@gball. Breathe some metal mania thru it and then tell me how it sounds compared to your old one.
