Congrats on the new gear.
I was prowling around the local KIJIJI website yesterday. That’s kinda like Craigslist for those that don’t know.
I came upon a used Headrush FRFR-108 powered speaker. That is a 8” plus tweeter, full range, flat response powered speaker that can deliver 1000W program or 2000W peak, in a package that weighs 20 pounds.
Well, of course I bought it! It is the very thing I need to complete my digital rig. I am going down to the basement to hook everything up and give it a proper run through.
I will report back when my ears stop ringing!

Try it but since speaker is FRFR it may be ok to use a mic amd cab sim setting. See what you like best. One question for the pros here.
I will be going from the ZOOM G3Xn “modeller” into the Headrush FRFR. Since I am new to the whole amp modelling thing, I suspect that I should be turning OFF the mic function of each patch I’m using. Is that correct since I am not going into the PA?
There is no right or wrong. Let your ears decide. One question for the pros here.

I have Headrush Gigboard, a fantastic unit and easy to use.Update: I started to have issues with my used ZOOM unit. After maybe 45 minutes to an hour on constant use, the volume would drop off significantly. At first I thought that I had done something wrong but it happened on a continual basis.
Even though it was “used” gear, since I bought it at Canada’s largest music retailer, there was a 30 day return policy. I returned the unit yesterday hoping to get my money back so I could start scouring the used gear ads for a new unit.
Wouldn’t you know it, though! The music store offered to give me a deal on a new modeller. I ended up purchasing a HeadRush Gigboard.
I had seen the reviews of this thing but, damn, it really is awesome and simple to use! That is a good thing as I have the attention span of a gnat!![]()

Your monitors would be the same as a PAIve never run into a PA ..... when I run the ampero into a "real" amp I dump the mic and the cab.
A couple pedals in fromt of the "amp" and the "amp" into the efx loop of the amp....
But again no PA experience
Agreed about the chain.... the way you set the pedals can be very different in the digital realm (as will often be the knob settings on any given amp/pedal/effect)Here is a quick video done by our own Leedspool of me demoing the HeadRush Gigboard to him at our jam night:
