High Voltages After Headfirst Origin 50 Mod

I think that Jason Tong accidentally omitted those caps that you added on to his drawings. When I looked at JT's schematic drawings on the Origin 20, those caps are there as they should be. I'll bet that those caps are there on the Origin 50 as well. The only difference is that the 50pF Fizz cap (or 47pF) is actually 100pF on the Origin 20. 100pF will tame the ultra high end more than a 50pF.

I don't know if you can leave those caps out (probably not).
If you are using 100pF, you got a lot of hiss that's for certain.
They are trying to kill the highs to get rid of the hiss.

The hiss comes from resistors that are in series with the grids.
The first resistor on the input jack is the noisiest of all.

Does anyone ever unplug the effects pedals long enough to find out what the amp actually sounds like?
I go even further -- and I run almost all my amps (even combos) through the same 12 inch OLD ASS peavey Sheffield speaker cab.......... so that I can ASSES them "honestly" for the amp itself untainted by speaker variables..................

reckon the rent on that piece of Californicated real estate...................................
