I love this riff. Youve got it gelled together really nicely and it sounds plain nasty in all he right ways! What I have tried to make sound like something good..
Thanks

That is really cool man. Like Mitch said, definitely has a Primus feel in the beginning but then it reminds me a bit of Fear Factory as it goes on. Very heavyThrew this together just to see how I liked the Quantum pickups in the S7521.
The clean intro is the USALive & Shiver Clean (with Shiver going through a GB FX) factory presets from the Fractal Axe FXII XL+. Distorted left is the Engl1 w/German 412, right is the 6160 Block with Ola O/S Mesa 412.
Edit: Tweaked tracks, added bass & reuploaded
I humbly thank you my friendI love this riff. Youve got it gelled together really nicely and it sounds plain nasty in all he right ways!
We could actually call it Chris-Mitch. Sounds like a gimp pronouncing Xmas wrong.

HUGE sound on this one!Ok, just so Ram doesn't call me a slacker I started on this during my lunch break...
It doesn’t have to chug to be in this thread, it just has to be played..It's Friday and I haven't posted in this thread for a while. I still can't chug but I'm trying
I was joking about the chugging. It’s one of those things I just can’t get the timing. If someone else is playing I can play along. On my own, not a chance. It doesn’t have to chug to be in this thread, it just has to be played..
Nice work on that piece KB I liked it buddy well done my friend.
Thanks
Mitch
Great tone but the clip kept pausing..Hey, it worked! I’m the guy on the right doing the rhythm part using my dogsh#t Strat through a H&K Duotone.
I believe you do just fine with it all ..I was joking about the chugging. It’s one of those things I just can’t get the timing. If someone else is playing I can play along. On my own, not a chance.
Thanks Mitch. It streamed OK for me.Great tone but the clip kept pausing..
Thanks for sharing Don

I. consider myself a blues player. I find it hard to play anything else. No matter what I play you can hear the blues in there somewhere. I understand the percussive nature it just doesn't seem to come out when I am the only guitar. I guess maybe I'm too old to change my ways. The guitar I used in the riff has some Lips Kudlow (from Anvil) signature pickups in it. When he uses them in his V it sounds metal. I've put them in several guitars and they are some of the bluesiest pickups I've ever used.Love the bluesy feel on this one. If it helps at all, think of chugging as more of a percussion action than a melodic one. Like you're hitting a drum, not strumming a melody.
I liked that alot. Had a rising, epic sound to it!It's Friday and I haven't posted in this thread for a while. I still can't chug but I'm trying
Some grunge!OK, not really just a riff, but wanted to try the new mp4 player. First and last time I played this.
