FRIDAY NIGHT RIFFS

Threw this together just to see how I liked the Quantum pickups in the S7521.

The clean intro is the USALive & Shiver Clean (with Shiver going through a GB FX) factory presets from the Fractal Axe FXII XL+. Distorted left is the Engl1 w/German 412, right is the 6160 Block with Ola O/S Mesa 412.

Edit: Tweaked tracks, added bass & reuploaded
That is really cool man. Like Mitch said, definitely has a Primus feel in the beginning but then it reminds me a bit of Fear Factory as it goes on. Very heavy

We could actually call it Chris-Mitch. Sounds like a gimp pronouncing Xmas wrong.

Oh, that's too perfect! Make it so! :ROFLMAO: :beers: :ROFLMAO:

Thanks Mike! The intro was one of those happy accident sort of things where I was going for something totally different but really liked what I ended up with instead. I'm a huge Voi Vod fan so any weirdness I can throw in to offset the heavy parts is welcome on my end.

Love the bluesy feel on this one. If it helps at all, think of chugging as more of a percussion action than a melodic one. Like you're hitting a drum, not strumming a melody.
I. consider myself a blues player. I find it hard to play anything else. No matter what I play you can hear the blues in there somewhere. I understand the percussive nature it just doesn't seem to come out when I am the only guitar. I guess maybe I'm too old to change my ways. The guitar I used in the riff has some Lips Kudlow (from Anvil) signature pickups in it. When he uses them in his V it sounds metal. I've put them in several guitars and they are some of the bluesiest pickups I've ever used. :)
