FRIDAY NIGHT RIFFS

Is the camera in the same place in both videos? Looks like it's closer in the V shot, which would definitely alter how it sounds in the recording. But, either way, they both sound great.
It's actually just a little closer to the sweet spot in the V video which should have made it brighter, but it didn't. It's those SIT strings on the Les Paul I swear. It wasn't as bright before I changed them. Not sure how it makes me feel yet.

Mitch, I am going to try to set up my mics and re-record this on Sound Cloud because it seems a little dark and bass heavy recorded with my phone. Anyway, this is one of my usual pieces, but through the 1987 with the lead volume on 6 and bass volume on 3. The only pedal I am using is a compressor to knock down some of the attack since this amp is so sensitive to pick attack. I like the tone of this amp cranked up. What do you think? I was using the Avatar 212 with Vintage 30s. I couldn't even hear myself yell it was so loud.

That was nice. :2Thumbs:

Add in way cool. (1) you play better than me (2) if I’m not mistaken…. Wireless to the amp.

Thank you sir. And yes, I have one of the Shure GXLD systems I think? Absolutely could not live without it. It lets me run around the house like Angus. As far as I can tell it doesn't color the sound at all and doesn't add any noise. I have a spare battery, so I can keep playing after one runs out after 15-16 hours. They recharge in just a couple of hours. I highly recommend this system.

Run around like Angus…. There needs to be video of that. :pound-hand:

Excellent my friend.
Chris you know that is my favorite amp right??
I thought it sounded great buddy, you were more into a AC/DC vibe with that tone, and the V is a rocking,,
Reminds me of my Origin rig with both 50H’s and the 3210.
Thanks for posting it up bro.
Cheers
Mitch

Sounds awesome. Real straight forward classic rock tone. The riff is Straight outta the pages of Zeppelin and even early days RUSH

Geez, thanks guys! The 1987 is my favorite amp too Mitch. The simplicity is fantastic and it almost seems alive compared to other amps. It's just so damn loud when you get it talking sexy. Oh, and I love Rush, Zeppelin and pretty much anything in that range of styles.

I had also seen visions of JP, Scorpions, and a vague bit of two faces of JAKE E Lee ..
So I am saying that is coming along very well buddy.
Cheers

Sweet guitar. Great tone. Cool riffs! #HatTrick!

What I have tried to make sound like something good..
Thanks

Good stuff as always.

Seriously, you two should do some sort of online collaboration - would be really cool to start a new thread of the "Cador-Mitch" band/song genesis and watch as y'all build an album together. If you both have DAWs it would be pretty easy to pull off.

Threw this together just to see how I liked the Quantum pickups in the S7521.

The clean intro is the USALive & Shiver Clean (with Shiver going through a GB FX) factory presets from the Fractal Axe FXII XL+. Distorted left is the Engl1 w/German 412, right is the 6160 Block with Ola O/S Mesa 412.

Edit: Tweaked tracks, added bass & reuploaded

That intro was sure different, reminds me of Les Claypool.
The heavy parts were all you.
Nice work buddy. And thanks for the compliment, I have no daw or any other means of recording but my phone.
Cheers

We could actually call it Chris-Mitch. Sounds like a gimp pronouncing Xmas wrong.
