Shielding paint. Such a simple thing. All imported guitars have it and are quiet. But Gibson still "builds them like we did in the 50's," when there were no cell phones and tons of EFI/RFI....SMH

The paint application could have been a bit neater but, yes, it is definitely there. I don't have noise issues at the lower volumes I play at home but will find out how quiet it truly is tonight at rehearsal.Shielding paint. Such a simple thing. Sorry for the temporary derailment.
@Robert Herndon , I have a 2017 Les Paul Classic, love it!
Here's my dilemma, as I'm just starting to get into the modern recording thing, I'm starting to notice a quiet hum- interference on playback.
Would paint shielding help my Paulie during recording?
Def not into changing any aspect of tone, timbre, volume etc... sure wouldn't mind a lower noise floor.
Interested in your opinion. Thanks for your time.
Just the paint shielding?
No taping, enclosing etc...?
If it's that easy I'll order the paint tonight.
