So what is the difference between a SH-4 and a TB-4? I'm seeing both when it comes to JBs....Pretty hot..Gibson.com claims the 500T is 11.4k Ceramic.
The Duncan JB-SH4 is 16.5k Alnico V.
TB is a trebuchet. Fender tremolo pole spacing 53mm. Regular Duncan's are 49.2mm.So what is the difference between a SH-4 and a TB-4? I'm seeing both when it comes to JBs....
And I've got some TB-4s around...and an SH-5 custom... so apparently I do have a JB or two handy?
Effing auto correct! TREMBUCKER. A trebuchet is like a catapult with a sling. Dammit.TB is a trebuchet. Fender tremolo pole spacing 53mm. Regular Duncan's are 49.2mm.
Okay so fender spacing makes sense, they are in my Jacksons (which fender owns) and therefore probably wouldn't be a good choice for my Epi V then..TB is a trebuchet. Fender tremolo pole spacing 53mm. Regular Duncan's are 49.2mm.
I figured as much...lolEffing auto correct! TREMBUCKER. A trebuchet is like a catapult with a sling. Dammit.
It wouldn't be perfect, but good enough for testing. We're talking about 3.8mm here.Okay so fender spacing makes sense, they are in my Jacksons (which fender owns) and therefore probably wouldn't be a good choice for my Epi V then..
Or I suppose I could just play the Jackson through it and see what it does before I get all crazy with the soldering iron lolIt wouldn't be perfect, but good enough for testing. We're talking about 3.8mm here.
