No I haven’t, and I was just thinking about Ivan a couple of days ago.

I'm here. Life just got away from me for a while. Check this bad boy out. 9.91k ohms with 42 awg wire. Should be equivalent to about 14k of 43 awg. I wound the screw coil 30 minutes at 200 rpm, so 6,000 turns and the slug side was 31 minutes, so 6,200 turns. Then I stuffed an A8 magnet under it! I'm going to put this in the Flying V tonight and see how it works.

And, if you scope out that picture, you will see I got A2, A3, A4, A5 and UA5 magnets to play around with as well. I have been using A2 for bridge and A5 for neck humbuckers the last couple of sets. Seems to help in the neck position.

It's too late to crank it up tonight, but by what I can hear it sounds pretty good. I will crank it up some and get a sound clip tomorrow.

What's the pole spacing on your pickups? Did they go 50 and 52, both 49.2 or some other combination?

Make sure to take a measured approach. We wouldn't want bad measurements.

Both 49.2 boss. They're the DS-C if I remember correctly. Dual slug ceramics.

Alright, I think we should go with what I did on the V for the bridge. A8 wound to about 10k. I'll have to look at my notes to see how many winds I used. It was staggered, but around 6,000 per coil. I'm thinking A5 neck with a little less winding to keep it somewhat bright.
