Birds Incoming!!

That is SO nice! Personally I’d leave the bridge pup routing as is, but a neck humbucker is tres cool.

Have you gone off PRS guitars after your less than satisfactory encounter with mr. Paul?

Beautiful, looks like the bones for a really nice build.
What happened with PRS?

After conferring with my style specialist/paralegal, Ali, I think this guitar will get these pickups. The BB Pro1 will go in the bridge. I am comfortable with the BB Pro1 in the bridge since I think it will be like a darker BB2, which works for me. I always look to trim some high end off the bridge pup one way or another anyway.

I certainly approve of the style choice for the neck pickup.

Wow...that's going to be an interesting project. I bet the guitar will look immaculate once you're done.:)

Do you know what the body weighs?

How about the finish?
It is chambered, and weighs 3 lbs 6 oz. It is currently unfinished and unstained (the piece was wet for the photo to expose the grain). Based on the neck, I will go gloss. I am not sure whether I will use poly or nitro yet. Nitro is so much quicker

That's definitely a light weight on the body. I'll bet your Tele will come-in just under 7 lbs when completely finished. The swamp ash body on my recent DIY Tele project weighed 5 lbs. When it all was completed, it weighed 7 lbs 15 oz. I was expecting a 7 pounder and not an 8. I guess there's a lot of swamp in the ash... :hmmm:

That is some fine looking body & neck woods there RVA. Looking forward to watching the progress of this project. Cheers
