I've only owned one BC Rich, a Los Angeles-made ST-3, in the mid '80's. It was an awesome guitar. I got it just because I needed something with a wang bar for a lot of the music of that era (Les Paul was still my main squeeze) and I was in a cover band. Looked exactly like this:
