I am not sure that I can express it in words. I was going to record a song with them to illustrate, but I've had a day, and I'm not sure anyone would be up for the abuse.
I have some sh@tty drum(fake), bass, and vocal tracks kicking around from learning Mad Season's "River of Deceit". I bet that they would sound nice with two, or five P90 tracks sprinkled over them.
 
How are these sounds achieved with an unadjustable pickup--- must be photo shopped ---sound dubbed? --- someone is playing this off stage with a fully adjustable PRS......er wait--- no those have set necks so they are not TRULY fool adjustable--- hhmmm....this is a mystery that will rank with Loch Ness and the Yeti.............maybe future generations can explain guitar tone through non adjustability
 
No you cant ---every knows that you cant adjust a dog ear---- and it means the guitar above in the video is worthless ---unplayable---incapable of decent tone---and should be BURNED in a non ritual ceremony--

No, but it is less useful than it could be. Once again, your myopic view of the world cannot allow you to see past what is there before you into additional possibilities. Please do not forget to feed the horses for your buggie today. You must get to your blood letting on time!
 
your the myopiphobe -----I am not shitting on an entire line of products and claiming members here are FLAWED because they like or own something that JUST IS for what it is and can be OPEN MINDED enough to accept that and enjoy it without having to control manipulate bend twist and alter it.......

There is a way to raise it. You could shim it. This, of course would require some very careful cutting on various thicknesses of plastic to get the height you want. True, this is not, technically, the same as a fully adjustable pickup and would be least visible on black or cream dog-ears, if you could find the right color plastic. Chromed dog ears would probably look best with a black shim.
 
As a matter of fact RVA--- I really dont think I have made negative statements on this or any other forum----ever--- toward a pickup of any style---
Adjustable---non adjustable --- single coil---humbucker--- mini hum--- piezo--- P90 ----not any I have made comments onn the variables of them --- as I have owned MANY different forms
Including gold foils and weird old japanese stuff.......

Which would certainly make my view the non myopic of the two---

It is not flawed, it is intentionally limited. I say the people who intentionally chose to limit themselves without any good reason are flawed!

Now, aesthetics are a reason, and to some a good reason, and that I accept, although I do not follow that philosophy. I also accept a vintage product with dog ears that was build before adjustable platforms were readily available. You on the other hand, choose to wallow in the one choice provided to you without checking the rest of the menu. I submit that manufacturers dress you, and feed you, funny. You eat what they put in front of you and wear what they dress you in. I will browse the menu just in case there is a better option.

What you refer to is bias. You are not bias toward a type of pickup, or guitar. You can lack bias and be myopic. You are myopic because, although you will accept what is put in front of you, like a good little boy, you cannot see past what is put in front of you, which makes you myopic. We already know you confuse your concepts, so consider this a free lesson. Wee shall have another class the next time you make a bad decision.

Most definitely freinds with Adrian. I have a deep affection for him, and we test the thickness of each other's skins. I think we are able to do this because we are friends, but we may be pushing the boundaries! Sorry if I made anyone uncomfortable.

We just funnin man--- I like to keep Ray sharp for his legal argument battles--- its like sparing with a buddy before the big fight ;) And I like to be tested to NOT lose my temper and call people horrible names and punch clients in the head ----even though some days I REALLY WANNA PUNCH CLIENTS IN THE HEAD----Im not allowed--- so again--- practicing zen yumminess.
