Stay tuned for the ever-unfolding saga of RiffMasters, Chapter 9 where the wheels on the bus may continue going round and round
(that is, if they don't fall off this jalopy completely).

Clockwork still has approx. eight hours to choose his door, if not... we move on and C-Grin chooses the door. I'm not sure if there
is enough Mtn Dew in the entire USA to aid him in avoiding a possible Guitar Beat-down at the hands of the merciless @frostyjr2
no matter what may be revealed.

@Clockworkmike - I'll give you until 8PM tonight to continue building your drama and choose your door.

@C-Grin takes on @frostyjr2 in the Surf 'n Turf contest, for the Chapter 9 Official Guitar Duel!

Basically, this duel is to create a minimum 1:00 classic surf style track, as garagy or slick as you choose.
You may use a DAW, or if you wish or just go live with a looper. But DON'T YOU DARE forget the reverb

Most righteously "Surfalicious" track according to the TTR membership via POLL VOTE wins 12 points, the un-winner six.

This Guitar duel is also open to the general TTR membership and all RiffMaster competitors for an automatic single point
and I do hope everyone slathers themselves with zinc oxide, catches a massive guitar wave and has great fun with it.

Ten days for the first run, don't matter who goes first, within ten days the other must answer

Let's see ... i don't have a Jazzmaster around atm, so i used a flatwounds-equipped T-type w/ P-90s (but Teles are OK as per the video).
Pounding drums? Check.
Relatively simple and repetitive twangy pentatonic-based melody w/ some dissonance picked close to the bridge? Done.
Is it drenched and dripping wet with time-based fx? Yes indeed.
(Reverb, echo, and tremolo, all in the house courtesy of the HX Stomp and onboard stuff in the DAW.)
Tick tock (a/k/a 'ticky tack') muted guitar part included? Yeppers.
Over 1 minute long? For sure!

OK, that's my take on 21st century surf music!
i hope you folks will enjoy it.

According to current ScoreCap'n @iblive 's most recent CHART, congrats are in order for @Ku² who has also attained the 100 point summit designation

I am expecting four or maybe 5 more musical adventurers can reach this marker after Chapters 9 and 10 are complete. But, like climbing any summit it's going to take some work!

Other than her obvious guitar skills, @frostyjr2 also boasts fearlessness and punctuality!
Not the type to be found wasting away valuable weeks of studio time in the wee hours waiting 'til the "vibe" is right, she attacks challenges head on and gets 'er done! Plucky surf tone... check! Diggable melody... check! Groovy bass line... check! Drenched in reverb... check!

Grab a towel Frosty, and let's all park on the beach and watch if @C-Grin dare jump into his musical board shorts and attempt drop into a nice pocket!
