@Oldiemurphy bowing out of an official duel is serious matter. Perhaps you are unaware of the change of avatar rule. If you are firmly choosing to turn tail on your official duel opportunity, in fact the ONLY mandatory RiffMasters obligation... you must change your avatar to wear your decision openly.
You do have ten whole days to duel. You have 24 hours to reconsider & choose a door.
If you opt out, you must adopt an Avatar of Humiliation 'til the end of Chapter Ten to signify your shameful duel backdown. You may choose your own similar, but these are ready-made and available.
Opt out and also refuse to adopt the Avatar of Shame for two rounds? You'll no longer be able to gain valuable points via any future duel challenges as long as RiffMasters continues, you will be "oranged-out" on the adventure scoresheet as a non- combatant.
