Wow! Enjoying some time in the Penthouse all by myself!
Put Febreeze on the shopping list ugh!
Smells like weed and Kraft Dinner in here...

I have to congratulate @ibmorjamn on reaching "rocker" status

And @Ku² as well as @LiveeviL2000 join myself in reaching "Superstar" status.

The only higher level is "RiffMaster" at 100 pts. Who's gonna get there first?

@Ku² suggest you claim as a couple of us already did but there is a very wide field to choose from, I imagine your choice might be eclectic
Thanks to you tvvoodoo. None of this could have been made possible with out your vision.

I'm oft accused of eclectic/eccentric leaning. Hmmm,... gonna have to give this one some thought.

@ibmorjamn 100% my pleasure to bring this "musical adventure" to TTR. We're all lab rats in this. As has been apparent I've been kind of inventing parts of this format as we've gone along.

I feel both both exuberant and horrified I'm somehow scoring so strong ... In retrospect this is 100% a result of overcompensating for participants like myself with admittedly less raw skill and talent, maybe injecting too many bonus points and side game opportunities. I feel like next time, it's best the Game Master NOT take part at all, or play along but not for points, but it's also extremely valuable to have experienced such an event as a competitor.

This is my 3rd similar event, first time playing along.

It's a challenge trying to cater to a widely-varied group of musically-minded people with a crazy range of technical skill, toys and preferences, yet still keep it interesting, appealing and challenging enough for most to stay engaged. Frankly, a lot of work too... thank you @LiveeviL2000 for scoreboard piloting!

This format tends to encourage and favour "seekers" desiring to gain new skills or explore new musical/personal boundaries. We seem to have lost some along the way for various reasons, including "life in general" or the "art as competition" objection.

I think the five week time frame works well overall, as does the ability to opt out of any challenge, or join in whenever you wish. I would welcome and consider any ideas from any here VIA private message, not in this thread please, for ideas, tweaks, etc.

I am considering removing the 100 point cap, and simply continuing the "adventure" as an ongoing event for a longer term if there remains enough participant/forum desire to do so, and we don't run short on enthusiasm, participation and ideas.

I feel like maintaining a super-interactive forum feature such as RiffMasters is an attractive diversion for any online family such as TTR, and while there are warts that arise from time to time, it's a great for bonding, and community building. Not to mention just appreciating and enjoying a wide variety of music, extra motivation to create. All this sharing and general positivity also allows us to bridge vast distances and learn more about each other.

I love it for the motivation of creation, personally. Idk who picked what so far but I think I'm gonna go with Chic's

Chic “Good Times” Single (1979)

I do believe there is a rap version, would that count as Rap/Hip Hop AND Disco?

Wow, I didn't even realize I lost by tie/late sub... too bad there isn't some manner of lightning round duel between the tied.

As far as this round's Guitar Duel goes... I have messaged @Oldiemurphy regarding his burning desire to shred up @Mouse in the coming excitement. However, if he wants to show mercy on mouse and opt out (as some others have done), Mr. Mouse and @Clockworkmike will be the feature battle... so be patient and stay tuned!
I'm in a battle!? Lol

@Ku² That's an interesting idea, but for someone like yourself who doesn't visit the forum daily, or seems to
be the kind who may often find himself hopelessly lost in his own home, might be a disastrous recipe

I THOUGHT it was Sugar Hill. I may have even owned the album when I was a pup. (My evil stepmonster used to call me "nigger" and I guess she found it amusing to buy me a Sugar Hill album for Christmas,... what a giant racist turd that creature was). I think I even remember the album cover, was light blue with some weird, crazy looking spirally red, orange, yellow cornucopia looking thing on it? Maybe that was in another timeline before the Mandela Effect took place? Funny, I can't even remember what I did 5 minutes ago,...

Well @Clockworkmike please curb your bloodlust, you are off the hook for now.
STAND DOWN!

It appears member @Oldiemurphy is eager for a chance to battle @Mouse

Mr. Murph, you are the low fella on the board points-wise, which gives you choice of doors behind which
three themes are hiding. What I can say is, between these choices, the most valuable tile of the game remains
yet-to-be-revealed. Two of them are kind of just wacky mindless guitar fun, and one of them seems like it
could be exactly right up your alley stylistically.

Name your choice and I will reveal the challenge as soon as I can, along with the ground rules, so the fun
can commence. In the meantime the both of you please make sure your health insurance is current, and that
your next-of-kin is notified

Oh man, so grateful all the Warner Bros cartoons were cancelled. All that unnecessary VIOLENCE
totally offends me, and I literally feel so triggered rn, I'm shaking due to emotional distress.

I am going to go hug my support plushie, if it's not too wet from yesterday's tears.
Hey, there's a good song title!

"Support Plushie"

And BTW it's not a furry love doll, fellas. It's a plushie only

It seems bigger than a plushie needs to be…. Or big enough?
