In the Round 8 Main Event. we return to the musical root-base of many TTR members
with opportunity for some skull-poundin’ overdrive and hackle-raisin’ dirtifications!!!!
Main Event Chapter 8
METALMORPHOSIS
To complete this challenge with a valid entry for the community vote, you are going to take a very NON-Metal song,
Dance Pop, Rap, EDM, New Wave, R+B... whatevers and convert it to hard rock/metal. Choose carefully.
Just as long as your chosen piece features a minimum, or no overtly distorted guitar as key instrumentation in the original, and you make heavy/rock guitar the NEW instrumental focus of the piece, your choice should be valid and safe.
Lyrics or vocals are not required in the final, but may help your submission along (or not!) for the voting.
Your track choice and valiant, skillful attempt to metal-morph it into as musically a nasty/heavy crusher of a track as you can muster could earn you the big points in the vote five weeks from now. But remember, even
just any acceptable submission is good for five.
As per usual there are bonus points available, awardable after the voting is done.
1 bonus points for metal-morphing a widely popular Rap/Hip-Hop song
1 bonus points for metal-morphing a genuine Disco hit
