I wouldn't say that you can't play it. I think you did a fine job Brad. Old shool. I really like that era. The tone is very good .The bass stands on its own, recording and mix sounds great.Droppin' in my Round Seven Guitar Duel Jazz Odyssey you know it's gonna be fun when
there's a clam in the first ten notes in LOL! Guess I lost my chance at that Vegas residency :sad face:

I love jazz a lot, to listen to casually. Particularly Latin, Cool, and the big band 50's, Sinatra etc.
I turned to it often around 1991 when modern rock suddenly changed drastically.
Comes to crazy be-bop or free jazz, nope, not for me. I feel like I need modal themes, or melodies
I can hang onto. But Jazz is great, kind of like metal, there are plenty of interesting subgenres to explore
and a lot of great musical history and super talents. But I sure can't play it forLOL
Very nice. And yes. Calming.Well here is this lol.
Enjoy the oddessey

I'm struggling to click with the "vintage spy" video, but I'm determined to write something to it. The visuals come off very somber and important to me, and that is not my playing style lol. So I blew off a hot wad of jazz in the meantime to calm my nerves
Man , youtube wrecks music. Lol
Thank youIt certainly does. I spent like an hour reworking a French horn part and I can’t hear it unless it’s from the source or on my monitors lol. I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to mastering though
Your track still sounded cool though. That bass line in the middle was just awesome. The flutes were vibey as hell too
Maybe she read your review of mine…My wife just labelled my Oddyssey piece "Department Store Jazz" -- kill me now
That is an ominous theme indeed, and quite chillingly effective!RiffMasters Main Event #7: Spy Game

Result is very orchestral and dense, but there is some electric guitar in there (Fender Squire into my line 6 POD PRO with Treadplate patch).
I was recording it in half-time at 130bmp just the get the notes & chords right - ended up keeping it that tempo scaling. So it's sounds more stately and foreboding than frenetic & urgent.
Very nicely done RVM.RiffMasters Main Event #7: Spy Game

Thanks Brad, I have to say I worked on the last main for a couple of weeks with a lot less result. The guitar intro right channel , Left channel actually 2 instances of UAD Polymax synth.@ibmorjamn and @Randy Van Malmsteen both drop modern spy soundscapes that couldn't be any different but also both sharing lush layers, great sound effects and that edge of your seat feeling.
Particularly like that creepy electric guitar lead intro ... then the stabs in that cool bass section dividing up Jam's piece adding tension... I think it could have used even more of that bass but wow then he brought in the the hell's bells! And is that timpani too? Outtasite!
Then we get a lush dramatic film score orchestral piece starting with the snare roll then slow-marching us through all the kicks and punches done nice.... all that brass moving against those frenetic strings is so killer!
Then more timpani too? What is up with you guys and the kettle drums suddenly? So awesome!
