Sonic destruction.

I am beside myself because once again I jumped the gun posting my song.
As unorthodox as it is I am asking for the popular vote to allow the version of Sloopy girl with our fellow competitor Sapient and the backup singers, simply the Sapiens vocal attached. Lol
As there have been a few live votes here this will be the only time I ask for all of you to slide this one in.

The only change is I removed the lead and Sapient added vocals. I will keep the faith in music godz. Lol

OK, here's "Moar Cowbell" - I think there's about 8 different cowbells. And also my 60's song. Wondering if these need to be separate.
* I realized my 60's song was like 5 minutes, when the original was only 3 minutes. WTF! I had too many extra bars. Then I noticed there was a key change in the song - up a semitone. So I updated that too. Ugh. Big John.mp3

Randy Van goes back real deep to the early 60's with prototypical crossover hit "Big John"
Sounds like he actually got hisself lowered right down into that mine with all the sound effects of coal cart tracks, and
cowbells that sound suspiciously like wet stalagtites dripping way down in some dark echoey cavern somewhere, to me.

Great delivery job on the spoken word, - pretty much nails it there, with the extra enunciation in all the important places
which really helps sell the drama and make the hero of the story even more heroic. Then that regular and rather unusual
use of punctuating the lines with the different cowbells give the whole thing a sort of funeral march effect.
I don't know where exactly he hired the chorus background from or maybe he sampled that too but it all works,
with that knarly distorted dirgey guitar tone in the background. I'm pretty sure they didn't have THAT in 1962
That key change is kind of needed, really raises the tension so good on you for making sure it's there

most reverby echo so far, most types of cowbells, most creative use of cowbell in my opinion... but the round ain't over.
We do know it's gonna be good for at least 5 points in the main event, maybe more... but as far as for use of cowbell,
not really what the challenge asked for, but definitely creative out-of-the box use, no video so good for 3 automatic points.

But that was real entertaining, and reminds me of some mixed hits old 8-track my uncle George kept in his ford f-150,
i believe "Convoy" was on it as well as Horton's "Battle of New Orleans" so yeah, that was a bangin' cart for the road

Thanks for that Randy, took me back aways

Deth-Drop!!!

The camera distortion is hilarious!…and NOT an added effect…

@Thatbastarddon injects a toxic-sounding deth drop directly into the main vein of the RiffMasters thread
with a compelling godzilla watching the world burn video attached ta boot. Shades of Iommi, and maybe
kind of clutch/melvins to me. Could have used some drums, but overall sounding like migraine, and
I think maybe that's what was going for.

I don't know if that would be called Alt Doom, or what, but it was plenty nasty, like a soundtrack
for when the next asteroid hits. Definitely a solid point there don... thank you! Now get after paint it black!

Sapient did a nice job bringing out the vocal and backing vocal.

@ibmorjamn is hoping the RiffMaster rules can be bent for him. I think earlier in the game this came up already, and we said no,
so it wouldn't right or fair to say yes this time, though I do agree the second stab at it would probably fare better in the vote
and @Sapient really did a sweet job on the vox.

I think you need to take this as a learning moment, since it's still pretty early in the game and if you think you can can
pick up a vocal from someone in the future that will improve your piece PRIOR to SUBMISSION, you should definitely do so.
Never hurts to ask I guess, but I think it would be a disservice both to the game prior, and for the game beyond this point
to open that door and step through even, as you say, for this one time only.

I'm sure each of us has second thoughts about something they've already uploaded already, wishing they could have had another go, I DO!

Maybe in a future iteration of RiffMasters we could perhaps include one mulligan per player,
(a golf term for second try after a mis-hit drive from the tee).

Nice work
You know rules are made to be broken. Lol
True that  . I wonder who the other rule breaker he mentioned is ? :rolf:
