Announcing... RiffMasters!

@BFT Gibson plants his "Hangin' On" ... a cathartic "all about the bass, 'bout the bass" version. Hollerin' like crazy again in what sounds like could be his emptied-out garage! Open string ring noise intros it, then a tribalized drum beat sets up a vaguely surfpunk riff. The song delivery, fun bass solo then it all ends with what sounds like a damaged cymbal crash. This version basically takes the original Supremes version and gives it good ol' fashioned curb stomping, making it more angry, more indignant, more bitter, just everything "more" exactly as asked.

SUPER JOB☆☆☆☆

@Jethro Rocker

Whoops sorry...lost what I initially wrote but Bozz Scaggs just called from the 1976 and says that his Dirty Lowdown song was actually about you

All I could think from that song of was an insane badger attacking a bees nest, not even to enjoy the honey, but just for the pure pleasure of pissing off a bunch of bees, and to bask in the maelstrom of pain.

Too much work for a lousy single point, but we'll give it to you anyway. Thank you for NOT putting cowbell on that. Deth Drop... DONE!

SPOOOOKY!

Soaring leads, a solid beat and a slightly off-the-rails rhythm guitar give this a wild 60's garage vibe. But the all-important melody continues to shine through, throughout

Nice mix... gonna be tough to go up against in the vote! what a wild RiffMasters Saturday night!

And I believe @ibmorjamn is now complete for round 4

Thank you sir , tough competition.
I must have done this song 4 or 5 times.
I did this yesterday but my drives are polluted with girl sloopy or as I call it Loopy.

I just downloaded a trial version of the Bogren BDH the 66o6 Ampknob. That was the main distorted guitar lead. The other one (crazy rhythm) Amplitude Marshall. It was pretty much the same tone I got from the green Chanel on the DSL.

I did a vocal and some backing vocals as well but that was not prime time.
I pretty much dialed in the whole thing per track and mixing was minimal. Bass DI in to the preamp. The drums however are the first one I put together for this song in Hydrogen. After several attempts of using EZ drummer. Try doing that intro in EZ, not so easy.

I thought yours was good as well. I forgot to comment. Great idea. I barely recognized the song except for the lyric so you made it your own.
I actually tried it with a proper treatment of the song but in my eyes i respect it so much.

The old motown is up there with my fav music. Jamerson is one of my hero's on bass & Carol Kaye. To understand they are playing lead bass within the context of the song is my thing. You listen to all them songs i record , its the bass as the star always but you do not know it. I realized this within first week of getting a bass way back when.

I can play a 3rd or 5th or walk or run around the chord & land back on root all within the context of a progression to ad to or harmonize or even counter harmony. While all along being in timing with the drums and glue it all together.

If my guitar player didn't bail when i paid for studio time, i never would of picked up a guitar. Have wasted so much time last 8 years with it. Now in 2 bands instantly & can actually pick & choose what music want to play. The demand is so high out there for bass players & especially multi genre players.

OK, here's "Moar Cowbell" - I think there's about 8 different cowbells. And also my 60's song. Wondering if these need to be separate.
* I realized my 60's song was like 5 minutes, when the original was only 3 minutes. WTF! I had too many extra bars. Then I noticed there was a key change in the song - up a semitone. So I updated that too. Ugh. Big John.mp3

What happened to a Supremes song..yikes...You Keep me hanging on
Rythym Ibanez Talman into Orange OB1 300 into Seismic 4x8 mic'd using Catalinbread Karma Suture pedal to ugly it up
Leads same but Fender Jazz
There are no reg guitars on this song song used Jazz in place of one & played up an octave where the g-tar should be

That was amazing, a Big Bottoms version of the Supremes masherd up with Spinal Tap and a bit of the Ramones. So cool, nice work sir.
Now I like big ......... :dood:

I finally did a downtune. Went to C#, just used the G3 so couldn't get feedback sadly. I added a suboctave. The "lead" part is basically trying to make robot noises n fun stuff. Just trying to do heavy. Drummer is a bit off at times but he is a doofus.

Awesome moshing with robots or is it robots moshing either way tearing it up bro, good times! :jammer:

Deth-Drop!!!
