Oh, wasn't that a guitar challenge?? Like what? Like a shredathon??
The RiffMasters Guitar Dual System:
Each round, the lowest member in points will challenge the next-lowest to a special themed guitar duel,
which we all the community will vote on to declare winner.
This round it was
@jtcnj who battled the Mighty
@Ku² in a Punk'd duel.
Next round, I
predict it may be Mitch and you gon' be cuttin' heads. But we won't know until after the vote.
The theme of each RFM duel is a surprise to both combatants. So are the many extra points available, win or lose.
The Duel Challenger will chose one of these tiles, revealing behind it the duel theme, and points available.
The higher number for the winner, the lower for the...
not winner
Therefore nobody actually loses in a duel. Show up and put some sort of fight, you'll still come away with extra points
Every duel challenge is different and I think they are designed to be less skill dependent, and more pure guitar fun.
But I can guarantee almost all of them will force you to dig a little deeper into a style of play that may challenge you.
Once the gauntlet is dropped early into round 3, combatants have ten days to post a 1:00 minimum Guitar Duel
submission which again will be voted on by all TTR members watching.
The "Duels" component was designed as a way to add extra entertainments, more opportunities to make music,
and provide a leveling mechanism so that players of all skill levels/experience can remain somewhat competitive.
Once the duel challenge is revealed, All TTR members can also take a stab at it during the round for a single point.
