Don’t call me Shirley.
. But not after 7:00, you will find it interferes with our nightly game of Sword Dueling.
Right on and well said. I loved the bass throughout and especially the guitar melody when he left town and headed towards the river. Great way to end the videoHot damn that was awesome @ibmorjamn! too bad you didn't keep some of the gallop and natural sfx but still!
Cool Drums, cool bass, cool everything! Great rhythm guitar tone and feel especially, very chimey, vox/gretsch?
I love how The Dusty Trail got different and moodier in three key places
- when you actually enter the town - am I hearing a bit of a riff by the Animals or some 60's group there? And then the
tribal drums just before you head down main street feel kind of dramatic - like stuff is about to happen
- just after the duel towards the little valley pass, tribal drums again - and on the way down the into river valley,
it gets a even darker and the drums get super busy lot of ghosty snare 16ths, then the same on highhats,
and the kick just pounds away relentlessly
- then as you near the point where he fords the river you go all western jazz oddyssey on it, again more with the busy
drums, and the insistent leads
I don't know exactly how classic Spaghetti western it sounds, but it's it's very own thing, and works nicely in many parts.
Didn't hear any sound fx but you got it in, and edited it yourself and it held me right to the end
FIVE Points!
Thank you , you described it better than I could. And very complimentary.Hot damn that was awesome @ibmorjamn! too bad you didn't keep some of the gallop and natural sfx but still!

i had the video looping while i was jammin tonight, fun stuff. You seen how they score feature films with the musician(s)
in a studio with a big screen in front of them, that would be a super fun job if a person had the talent and skills to conjure
decent stuff up on the fly. It's a bit of a rush when things work, and I can sort of feel how they get in a creative flow
But man-o-man I'd burn off the whole movie budget in short order - took me it took a LOT of passes.
I think I now at least have an idea of where I'm going with the chords, the mood and the pacing.
