The Muse I Adorn

Hahaha! Is that a quick project guitar? The one from that other thread? If it is...
:cheers::dood:

Well done Grant

Yup, that's the beast from the curb. Damn thing plays pretty good too! I replaced the neck, tightened the jack, tightened the pots & tuners. Wiped all down with lemon oil. Put a new set of strings and a bad ass style bridge. Got home at 6pm last night and was playing it by 8pm.

Most excellent to hear Wav! That black bridge does indeed look “badass” on that guitar.
Stoked for you to be able to toss something together like that!

Today was EBMM Luke day.
Very interesting guitar.
Ergonomics.
Deep body cut and forearm cut.
Rounded neck heel and deep cutaway.
Off center neck carve, flatter on treble side.
(Matches the web of your hand perfectly.)
Vibrato stays in tune.
Active electronics = no hum with single coils.
I don't play it that much though.
I'm not a single coil guy.
Not sure why...

If you want to see Prince play watch the video. While my guitar gently weeps with Tom Petty. Steve Winwood , Jeff Lynne. Check Prince out when he gets into it. He's totally AWESOME!

I was comparing the stock pickups in the black Standard P-90 vs the new Manlius set in the natural Special 60s tribute.
The Special used to mostly excell in brash punk-ish tone. The new pickups round it out a bit more, and now it also puts out the Sabbath tones that the black Standard excels at....but with a touch more grit on tap.
Happiness.....

Thanks guys! Once I’m down there... time, sort of, melts away.
A lot of time spent putting it all together....now a lot of time spent on maintenance. There’s still time for some fun too. I have no idea why the local PD has never paid me a visit in the 17 years I’ve been entrenched here...but I’m not complaining.:D:cheers::dood:
