I've been rocking this today
I top wrap this, which with the stock tailpiece studs results in the tailpiece being twisted a little on the studs, so last night I fitted a pair of Faber locking studs & shims. This locks the tailpiece to the body, keeping it level when top wrapping
Also increased sustain a little. Bridge pickup is a slightly overwound T top type & the only pickup I really use on this guitar. Cheers

Back in the 80s I had RC planes and 2 of them could drop plastic bombs. I mocked up Estes rocket engine missiles. I just couldn’t bring myself to fly it and risk downing the plane if it didn’t release correctly as the Estes engine lit up.

Yeah, its the Martin Backpacker. I take it in the RV sometimes. The action is way too high, I need to fix that.

Yep, the wife and her mom are quilters. I have my music room and I modified a bedroom and the loft for her quilting gear. They weren't quite finished in these shots as everything got handles or knobs. I might be using the island for guitar mods in the future.

This is my award winner. It was published in one of the Model magazines a few years back. This was the building of the wing for the Super Chipmunk this is a Replica of its full size Brother. Its done in my own colour scheme.

Sweet ! I haven't flown since the early nineties. All my radios (6 of them) are from before the big spectrum change back then. But RC flying is in my retirement plans. Building a SR-71 is my goal.
