Thank you. I actually find it relaxing.Looks really nice, almost like the Gibson brown faded colour (which is a lovely colour), but I don't know how you have the patience for all this stuff...

Thanks! U-Pol spray can. It is used by auto guys for small jobs and has gotten great reviews, which I can confirm as this is my second guitar on which I use it. It was recommended to me by a guitar builderLooks very nice. What brand of poly? Rattle can or spray gun?
I am not sure how much to apply. I will do at least one more day (about 2 full spray coats per day)Wow, looking better with each coat. It's getting rich. So cool!

That is exactly how I feel!! However, this stuff is $ 20 a canMy only experience with it, is from the 80's in wood shop twice a week. I made an SG, and each class I would ad another coat....not enough, ad another coat.....not enough....another class, another coat and so on....still needs more...
LOL, the coarse ended!!!

Thanks! I sanded the top bare and re-stained it. Whatever was on there was more like shoe polish than stain. I took a risk of burning through thr veneer, but it worked out! That's looking great Ray. The spot on the front really blended in nice.
Natural back and medium dark top is perfect.
I really like the look.
You are using a chemical mask, right?BTW, poly makes me nauseous, even with the mask
Oh
Yikes. If you read the reviews, this is a particularly "smelly" (toxic?) spray. I am doing it in a garage with an open door at least.Oh... I see what you're using. That's not industrial enough, I think.
LOVE that pic!!!
