It depends on the venue and bands playing. I go to shows all the time, but avoid big concerts like the Who at Fenway Park a couple of weeks ago.
But, last week I saw three great bands, Kind, Duel, and Birman Wood for $15.94 (with the service fee of .94) at a nice brewery. Thatbastarddon met me there for the show.
Sunday night I saw Duane Betts and Palmetto Hotel with a local band Wood and Bone opening at a nice venue in Gloucester. Total cash outlay was about $41.00.
Friday I’m going to see local legend John Hvorka for The Turbines and 2x4’s along with Bob Censi of Jerry’s Kids and another local band Huck. That’ll probably be $20 cash at the door.
Then Saturday night is Bim Skala Bim at the Cut in Glostah again. Twice in one week. I think tickets were around $30.
Plenty of great live music to be had around here. And, you don’t need to spend a ton of cash.
