Tailpiece is decked, bridge thumbwheels raised about 3/16 off the body, strings top wrapped and clear the corner of bridge perfectly. The action is set up just right, much like my '79 LP and EPI LP. Body has a a couple small dings which are barely visible from distance, and some slight scratches on the back, no big deal here.

I have just enough slack in the cable that if you hook the guitar over your leg the cable just moves deeper into the V.

Yes! This^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^is what I do if I’m not going to be tied to a mic stand for the evening.
Never been a problem for me.

Figured that would probably be the ticket. I had concerns about the cable flapping around there while I am flailing around but likely a non issue. My picking hand can fly around pretty good at times.
That is, if (when...?) I get a Gibby V...

Thanks Mitch. HAHA I played it awhile, Posted the pics, fell asleep, woke up, posted added a front view headstock post, resumed watching the ND vs Penn St football game.

To me the Jackson Vs and such look more like shredder or thrash metal Vs.The Gibsons and Epis look more like the Classic rock Vs.

Here's what I paid for my V just a few years back!
Now it's tripled in price???
I hate the inflation.

I sold my last dime-o-flame 10 yrs ago for like $350 and now they are over 1k

Looks like an '04, Headache. That makes the tally of faded V's, '02 for Bdon's, '04 for yours, '06 for fitz's. '07 for mine, and the one at my local shop is an '08.
We need someone to pick up an '03 and '05.

If you wind up with a Faded V, you might begin to sound like Col Mustard and I do about our '05 ish Faded Brown SG's.

Speaking of which, Kathy just got home and has a meeting online with her boss/ co worker. I had to stop playing LOUD.
I had just put the V away and got my Cream '76 SG out and was about to tune it. LOUD playing will have to wait.

HAHA, I did the dishes n trash and will be doing laundry and paying bills before the weekend hits.
Hopefully in short time, Kathy will go back to her daughter's to feed her critters and spend the night over there.
Glad I got all my guitars to keep me busy for the next 2 weeks while they are away on vacation and no Kathy at home for chunks of time I get my bachelor time back at least temporarily.

MAN, do I forget how awesome looking my Cream SG STD looks and plays.

I am jealous of that one, the V’s are the only instruments to rival an SG.

Mitch, I was playing my '79 LP back to back with the new V. I now admit that the LP has it's own Bark too. AND it Growls.

An LP has a different growl for sure, but the bite and bark of an SG and V is brighter and more in your face than a LP in my ears.
