Announcing... RiffMasters!

Our epic adventure started back in November, was to last one year. Going to 100 points, but i wish to stress the points don't *really* matter. It was concieved mainly as a way to just get inspired with new musical challenges, share musical fellowship, put the gear to work with some fun themes. You get automatic points for all submissions but the main challenges are voted on every 5 weeks by vote poll via all TTR members for slightly more points.

Anyone is welcome and encouraged to jump in at any tme! Do it!

We are Here right now!

Participants on the low end of points are required to take part in a themed monthly mano a mano "guitar duel" to gain points boosts to put them back into the main fray. These duels are also open to everyone to take a stab at for a just single point.

Current duel is a Blues submission. Any style, solo, produced, to a backing track, whatever. Just post in the thread. Better if it's fresh for this game. But allowances can be made. It's all about sharing your music with us.

Now the final way to gain points is the regular side hustle. This time it's to create a Spaghetti Western musical bed for this movie

There are often bonus points available to make it more fun, more challenging. We like light trash talk, bravado, But try to keep it a musical safe space overall. There are no prizes other than the creative boosts recieved, and the only way to lose is to not take part.

Simply post for one of the three current challenges or more to get involved.
"BLOOZ MAN" automatic 1pt (no vote)
"Wild Wild West" up to 6 pts (automatic 4, no vote)
"Top of the Pops 80's" up to 16 possible points (and a minimum 5 just for taking part) has to be an 80's #1. We vote in a few weeks on this one.

All game submissions minimum 1 minute long.

OK so basically you're looking for a cheesy 80s tune rather than anything released in the 80s, correct? Does it have to be a #1 charted song? What's the deadline for submission?

Got it. Let me think of one. I think I've covered a few of these already but I'll try for something new. I'm finishing up something now but hopefully should be able to finish one for this challenge by the deadline. I'll post up my selection once I've firmed it up.

Just know that this is the one that goes up for vote but you get minumum 5 participation points. As you also may have seen, bonus points are available which may color your song choice and musical approach. A straight up faithful cover may, or may not be, the way to go. But again, this is 5% about points and 95% about having fun, stretching our musical muscles and sharing the journey together

I usually go for faithful covers but I'll definitely be going for something on the cheesier side. I'm really not in this for anything other than to participate and hear how everyone else approaches this.
 
All of you just remember that for you guys it's just to have fun.
For me, it's to prove once and for all my musical superiority,
display my incredible talent and skill, and once you are all forced
to worship me, Wavmixer will have no choice but to shut TTR down.
