Announcing... RiffMasters!

It's those soft, same-old /same-old comfort zones we all gotta shake ourselves out of. We will never learn new tricks or adapt and progress while some shrivel & cringe in the face of adversity, others attack and plunder.

I agree, however adverse it may or may not be. It easy to say if you have been in a field doing similar tasks for years.

I don't cringe for shiete. It's just straight complaining. Lol

@Aynirar27 - just listened to your love track again on my better speakers with the sub. WOW! That bass!
Found there were other guitar bits, subtle in the mix, I didn't hear last night. Nice sensitive touch on that bass.

Then the little rhythm change to a more reggae style when it really heats up.... Overall, I'm thinking if you
are able to make-a the love, like you make-a the love music, your lady be plenty happy!

And we can reward you the BONUS 2 points for editing yourself and adding sound FX right now.
Great looking strat by the way, suggest you call her the "Lovecaster" from now on

First in, sets the bar real high! C'mon fellas, let's hear YOUR love music

@ibmorjamn I don't think ever in the history of all of us total doofuses, have we ever had so many resources available to aid us through this stuff. Complaining eats up resources and allows us to hypnotize ourselves against working and achieving.
Funny story, last weekend I finally went for my PAL courses on firearms history and handling... standard course to own the basics in Canada. Me and a room full of eager 20-year olds, all damn day. Hadn't held or shot a rifle or shotty since I was maybe 18. 40 years later, I was the only dude in the class who earned 100% in both the written AND hands-on practical exams. ALL those young frickers never saw me comin' LOL!!!

We do have the resources but time is kind of a factor. I do what I do. Carry on, congrats on gun licensing.

And I agree on the resources being available. I’ve used those resources to fix a car. Fix my plumbing. Fix the dishwasher. Even load a badly played guitar track into Reaper.

What those resources can’t do is teach me to be creative. Never have been. Never will be. In school when it was time to create poems in literature class…. I knew my grade was going to suck. I can read chord charts. I can read sheet music. I can play off those chord charts and sheet music. Tell me to create or arrange a song out of my imagination….. won’t happen. It is what it is. Things I’m good at, I’m pretty good at. Being creative like that isn’t it.

I feel like i'm on the other end of the spectrum. I love taking a simple melody or chord progression, and then add or build to it to the Nth degree.

but ask me to do a cover of a 60s pop song?? I was ripping my hair out trying to get "love is blue" to come together even though I could probably play it as a solo piece on my acoustic with my eyes closed.

And at the end of the day we need both types. The creative person (you) and the person (me) that can follow directions and play what you created.

And from the gates of not the Hampton's , H.E. double Hockey sticks LL .
This was a labor of love. Worked the core track in HXstomp , exported in Flac , imported to Reaper.
Lastly I added the whammy explosions of fire. lol I used my one off flamed checker flag V for the whammy.
Excuse the sound effects , it was going to be for the video , I decided last minute it didn't fit.

I am with you buddy.

So after flopping around like a fish out of water and turmoil on song choice (battle with in) several bottles ICDB's
I came across a song on me old HD.
Broke out the Bass, synced up the Oooh's.
Would you like to hear it ? Here it goes.

I had to step out for a cigarette first before posting a response.

I loved it man. The sultry tone, the erogenous bends, the knuckle biting vocals. It had it all

just listened to the "No Prize" bed track by @ibmorjamn and it was like he was channeling Santana or something. Really nice! Mixed so well, and a great sultry pace. How was that tone achieved? Sounds like to me there were some prizes happening at the end IYKWIM... The fact that things got a little random and kinda "messy" near the finale just kind of mimics how it seems to work best in real life sometimes LOL! A fellas brain begins to shut down once "primal mode" kicks in. Nice little bass solo too!

I'll check the other once I'm in the Straplab... but definitely 2 bonus points for the sfx and the edit.

Thank you @TVvoodoo
Well , "no prize " was just an indicator for anyone browsing and so as not be targeted by any would be internet police.lol

The guitar was recorded 3 years ago , I added the bass line yesterday. I don't remember what I used.

There was a time before I got my HX Stomp when I used my old L6 POD but I have a hardrive full of songs and mostly don't recall any of the recording methods.

Past 2 years, HX stomp, before that Pod , in 2019 a lot of tube amp recordings because I had a real nice dry walled room in my garage.
