Oh definitely, nothing wrong with someone liking teles. All I’m saying is I’m not one of them, and yea I think they look like someone gave up while in the middle of designing a guitar, gave it a cut out just to make the higher notes more accessible and called it a day…So. Some years ago had a friend tell me I’d look good playing a Tele. Said, not interested. Today I have a Tele style guitar. Another told me I should be playing a semi-hollow. Jazz box so to speak. Again. Not interested. Today I have a Hagstrom Viking. Personally, I had zero interest in owning a Strat. I now have one. Love it. Only electric I have that no one told me to get is the G400. That one’s all on me. I play all of them. Enjoy playing all of them.
Nice thing is. Like music genres…. There’s a guitar out there that gonna suit a persons style and needs. It’s not a one size fits all. Doesn’t stop us from giving each other grief in jest…. As long as it all stays tongue in cheek and friendly.

John5 seems to muddle through his performances with one. With my Father it was Tele and Twin reverb all the way.Everything else imcluding Les Pauls were brought home from music store.Played, naw send it back.lol.
There’s a fine line between brand bashing in fun and insulting the person that owns said brand. And that line is in a different place for different people.

And that good sir is the difference between bone stock and performance built. That red Matador with the bone stock 360 and 3.54 rear gear is the only car I’ve owned where I actually ran it as fast as it could go. One night I got it up to somewhere between 6 grand and 6500 and the hydraulic lifters were starting to rattle….. float. And that was it. No faster…. Speedo said I was going about 110.I've ever ran anything but a 4.10 or 4.30 gear in anything.
My 1972 Ford Torino 429 SCJ (our pro build) would still just nick 140mph with a 4.30 gear and 27.0" tires, just a shade under 7,500 rpm.
1/4 mile was 13.80 @ 108mph
My 2006 Mustang also has 4.30's but it has an overdrive in 5th.

Here’s how you remedy the switch tip issue…. Which I agree with you. It is in an awkward place. Anyway…. Made my own switch plate and used a switch originally ordered for my G400 and never installed.I just hate the look of a Tele and the single coil twang. Add HB pickups, is it a Tele? Or a Tele shape? Original Teles are indeed a block of wood, awkward and very cowboy looking, to me. I have played on one here n there. Very nice thin neck, very playable.
But I hate the original design. Heck, the toggle switch in bridge mode almost make adjusting the volume knob hard.
I just dislike them.
As others dislike pointy guitars.

Mark Kendall started on one as well.I think with John5, he started on one.
…… the pot knobs are made out of ibony and Ray made the switch tip out of ibony he had on hand. That's neat!!!!
