I am still confused at seeing caps on a Volume pot.
I may be mis-remembering or stupid, but dosn't Gib only use caps on the Tone Pots?
DO you think of the Strat Switching as position 1 is with the switch as far as it will go pointing downward toward the floor and subsequently operating the Bridge Tone control of the bridge pickup? Then 2, 3, 4, 5 works it's way upward toward the Neck Pup?
If so, I totally have things reversed n my order of things. My position one is always Neck, then both pups, then mid, then mid/ bridge, then bridge as number 5 position,
Guess that's what you get when a lefty plays a guitar righthanded. He reverses the order of the switch/pups.Fender calls bridge position 1, switch all the way down towards the stage...
HAHA Robert, I am really gonna jack up my electronics brain on Strat wiring.
2 other scenarios.
My 1989 and 90 Strats have TBX pots in the circuit.
Then there are 2 other Fender layouts/way of tweaking sounds on some Strats. S1 switching and Delta tone wiring.

Yup, Super Switch.Super Switch...
Makes me think of what are the HHH LP Customs' pups are wired like and the switch on 3 hummers like Frampton, etc play. The most versatile arrangement is (3) humbuckers with a 5 way switch and push pull phase switching. Far simpler and much greater tonal variation.
This gives you a "triple coil" in positions #2 and #4
