Me likey too. Been a Strat guy for a long time. I prefer the clarity and power of the 25.5 scale. It's definitely less forgiving but it forces me to up my game.
I remember reading someplace on the internet long ago (means its true, right?) that 1990 was the last year of production of Squier II in Japan and that some parts were shipped to Korea, and India even, to be assembled. The dates in the pocket for this one are early Jan 1990. I wonder if this could be one of those. Can anyone verify these rumors?

The .047uf cap in series with the neck pickup broadens it's tonal spectrum, making it much more useful, even as a primary rhythm pickup. The result is phenomenal clarity.
Not only does this have a bridge tone control, but the "overlap" where both tone controls are active in position #2 also yields some great tonal possibilities.
The treble bleed also adds a real dimensional shift when turning down the volume to halfway while rolling back tones.
I don't see any 500K pots.
Shouldn't a Humbucker have a 500K to sound more Humbuckery like?

OR did you move the volume pot down to the point? I see the yellow wires for the JACK
