Okay...did not see this coming....
Met with the PT people today, they showed me how to do my exercises and my stretches...I took the walker and headed to the bathroom, sat on the toilet for a while, did not produce a BM, but that's okay by me, I just wanted to know that I could get there should I need to use it. Then I wandered around the room for a bit, until I decided to take a seat in a chair next to the window simply for a change of scenery. I sat there by the window doing my stretching for about 2 hours....and the PT lady came back, saw me doing all this all by myself, and was so impressed, that our conversation turned towards my plan for going home. I don't have a wheelchair yet, but there IS a wheelchair from several years back from when my grandpa was using one. My dad said that he could quickly construct a ramp if necessary, I've been off the IV narcotics for several hours now (ever since that brace came off anyway) ....
Whatever.
Long story short boys and girls,
I impressed everyone here enough with my determination and strength that I'm being discharged and going home.
I AM GOING HOME!!!
