This isn't 100% for sure, but we are discussing the possibility, so I thought I would post.

A musical friend - now living in retirement in PalM Springs, California - once worked for Musikraft. During his time there, he made a SG body and neck from mahogany.

The body is triple routed (HHH) and features the mid-1969 long/unstepped 19th fret neck joint.

The neck has trapezoid inlay on a 12" radius board, 43mm nut and 17° back tilt on a Gibson 'open book' headstock. The frets are Dunlop 6110 and the neck is already bound (fret over) and it has a massive volute.

If we can agree on a workable price, it would be easy to build.

Tonight, I was able to find most of the parts that I knew I had.

Aluminum (nickel) Nashville Bridge from Philadelphia Luthier Tools with 5mm Post Holes

Zinc (nickel) Nashville Roller Bridge rom Philadelphia Luthier Tools with 4mm Post Holes

8mm to 4mm Conversion inserts and posts (I like the 8mm thread on the bottom better than the 4mm threaded sections)

Gold Switchcraft Long Switch 3-Way (new)

Gold aluminum tailpiece (used)

Gold Pure Tone Dual Contact Input Jack (new)

Faber locking tailpiece studs and spacers

CTS Pro 530k Pots from Art of Tone in Ventura, Ca. (new)

Black Gibson Top Hats New in package (1991 price tag)

Used 1974 Gibson LPC witch hats and truss rod cover

Pair aged nickel covered Gibson Custombucker PAF's with 2 conductor wire

Huge roll of Gravitt cloth wire both white and black

Tone capacitors ranging from 0.01uf through .018uf

Strumer, you are now hitting a raw nerve in my world. Our neighborhood had a bunch, and over the fall the govt put 3 more in. And yet when I complained about needing no parking signs on either side of our driveway to keep people from crowding our only means in and out without getting hit by oncoming cars. I was told that we would not be getting signs due to loads of traffic calming, traffic controlling devices already in place after the govt big wig engineer types spec'd what was needed and how much they'd ultimately spend or not. So now we still get people who hinder our access to and from our driveway, but the main road that passes by our road, got 3 more speedbumps, bump warning signs, etc. Ugggh
