I am in a different world when I play...I've cut my hand open sliding violently down the neck on a Floyd Rose nut and finished the set.
I tend to burn the meat off my index finger on a 6 hour bar set (2 sets of 50 minute triples) and its just part of the game. I'll have to clean blood and little pieces of meat off the guitar the next day, but to me, that energy level is worth every second, because people can feel it.
I'm 100% comitted...totally lost...I don't even feel pain...but, for me, it's a way of life, not just a hobby.
The EDS-1275 is kinda chunky, but I can do things on that guitar that others tell me can't be done because of access, number of frets, etc., and don't forget I've got classical width necks on it.
It's just putting one's mind to the task at hand.
Hell, Man, I'd dig a pipeline ditch with a plastic spoon if the price was right....
