I looked earlier original pots and is certainly CHAMBERED -- as in the center block does NOT go all the way -- goes just passed the stop tail a hair-- the rest is open air
I've become pretty stuck on American made quality. My 2021 Gibson Les Paul 50's Standard renewed my faith in USA Gibsons and high quality products from the UK in general.
You get what you pay for. How much are you willing to spend???
I realize that I am a minority in many respects, so this is only my opinion, but do you know what phenomally changed my live tone for the better???
UK made Celestion Copperback 250 watt Neodymium speakers.
Absolutely no comparison to the China made Celestion variants.
Since that experience, I've changed my position on the type of gear that I use.

Anything can be poor.
Remember the White SG with only half the screws for machine heads?
Nice QC there on all levels.
My whole point the last day has been that US made guitars are not necessarily any " better" than anything else. Once a guitar has flawless finish, neck etc etc there is no room for improving so there is no night and day difference at all in "quality". Only personal taste.
General blanket statements to the contrary are not useful IMO.
It is awesome!
But again, what is light years ahead? Once you have flawless finish, binding, playability and tuning stability (even from a guitar made in, I dunno, China or Japan) how much better can a guitar get? I realize you see extreme examples everyday that the rest of us don't. But a blanket statement is not fact. Gibson had horrid QC for years. The white SG debacle again comes to mind.I suppose....but for me, it's become more a matter of principle and quality.
My Canadian Temple Audio Duo 34 Pedalboard is significantly better made than ANY of the other boards out there.
My Warmoth necked Stratocaster...my Planet Tone and DiMarzio pickups...MY Jersey Shore Guitar Shop Wire Harness....my Gibson Les Paul....my UK made Celestion's....the quality is just light years beyond the alternatives I see on a daily basis, not to mention supporting those who produce these products.
I probably won't buy another guitar, as I have no need of one, but if I do, it will be USA made.
