So, on my YelloStrat, the outside e to e spacing at the 22nd fret is roughly 1.895" with a fretboard width of 2.187" respectively. This is a phenomenal guitar to play tough/fast/hard accurately with no tendency of the high e to slip off the bevel of the fret.
On my (recently re-acquired) Jackson San Dimas, with a Floyd Rose, the outside e to e spacing at the tremolo Bridge saddles is about 2.085" with the strings very close to the edge of the 2-3/16" fretboard along the length of the neck.
This is so irritating to try and play fast/hard because the high e string is constantly slipping off the beveled edge of the frets.
I was planning on putting a new 1-3/4" Warmoth neck on this (R5) but the string spacing at the 22nd is a deal breaker for me.
How do you guys put up with this B.S???
