Bridge String Spacing Bullsheet:

I've been playing my CSL since 1982, that has 2 7/32" spacing too.

I don't find the modern spacing on my Classic Player easier to play.

They're all imports to me. :p

I'm just kinda taking in all of these settings and measurements and identifying what works and what doesn't. I'm not sure I will go to the trouble of making another guitar from scratch, one that has all these features, but its possible...

My Schecter strings are .420 apart...

...but E-to-E spacing is about 2.140" wide

My Stock Stratocaster saddles are also about .420 apart, but E-to-E spacing is only about 2.070"

Of interesting note, the neck on the Schecter the 24th fret is 2.300" so there's much more room between the strings and fret edges...

Thinking I might go this route on my San Dimas

Spoke to Jose at Planet Tone about a red/black humbucker (to match my black/red/black pickguard) that would compete sonically with my DiMarzio Neanderthal.

I'm killing frets in my other guitars. The strings are digging into them. I love these Jescar Gold Evo's...
 
Robert, one quick question. If someone like me wanted this exact neck for a Floyd Equipped Jackson guitar, how do you use a Floyd locking nut on a 1 3/4 width nut neck like this one when the original is something like 1 9/16 on a good day?

R5 nut is made for 1-3/4" neck width. I also prefer the Floyd nuts that screw all the way through the neck with bolts and nuts as opposed to wood screws in the fretboard.
 
Thanks Robert. I suspected that R5 might have been the difference maker.

On a side note, AND I will likely get laughed at here, BUT I flat out love so many styles of music as anyone can see. If we do a hunt of my posts over the years, you will see everything from that Opera Singer/Vocal coach reviewing the likes of Bruce Dickinson, Chris Cornell etc, to Albert King, Alex Lifeson, Uli Jon, And even the likes of Sepultura, Anthrax etc. But here is why I say you will laugh, I also love bluegrass and violin players, upright basses,mandolins etc. Roy Clark and Appalachian Banjo players just flat out jam and make music no matter how rich or poor they started out.

Why do I bring up Bluegrass? It is the Banjo or Mandolin. If one can get skilled in Banjo/Mandolin techniques on those tiny fret boards, these muscle memory skills can be carried over for playing 1 9/16 width Guitar necks.
 
Absolutely WILL NO LONGER PLAY anything with regular, nickel-silver frets. they are super soft and my strings end up digging into them. It's irritating. I'm wearing them totally flat on top in about 3 months...so flat that my intonation is affected.

On my double neck, I think I can get by leaving the Dunlop 6100's on it because it isn't played frequently, but I've already leveled and crowned my Schecter 3 times...and the fastest wearing frets of all were on my 2016 Gibson Les Paul 50's Tribute. Those frets were like butter

Now, I'm gonna have to re-fret a few guitars to Jescar Gold Evo's...
