On a side note, AND I will likely get laughed at here, BUT I flat out love so many styles of music as anyone can see. If we do a hunt of my posts over the years, you will see everything from that Opera Singer/Vocal coach reviewing the likes of Bruce Dickinson, Chris Cornell etc, to Albert King, Alex Lifeson, Uli Jon, And even the likes of Sepultura, Anthrax etc. But here is why I say you will laugh, I also love bluegrass and violin players, upright basses,mandolins etc. Roy Clark and Appalachian Banjo players just flat out jam and make music no matter how rich or poor they started out.
Why do I bring up Bluegrass? It is the Banjo or Mandolin. If one can get skilled in Banjo/Mandolin techniques on those tiny fret boards, these muscle memory skills can be carried over for playing 1 9/16 width Guitar necks.
