I've looked at some pictures of right handed trans black units today and I they aren't especially translucent. In fact, I haven't even been able to tell the top was Maple. Hmmm...

You really have to look at it to see the wood.

I had a set of Pearl Drums that was like that. They called the finish White Mist. It was not solid like an Arctic or Opal or Antique White. But ever so subtle could see the grain through the milky white finish.

SG player for sure.. not sure why but have gravitated to the wood grain. The special p90 is the nicest guitar i ever saw ..its flawless & the finish is stunning..but i grab my cheapy faded, jr & trib the most.. just wonder sometime if the paint traps the little bit of resonance i love about SG's.
The special is being sold..its a looker but unfortunately for me not a player. As i blow all this gear out..on the wall..majority left is natural-basic guitars

all my SG's are bought because of pickups and how they fit in a mix

P90 Specials are the sexiest SGs for sure, but they are out done by the jnr and standard and faded in sounds, IMHO.

Black is handily ahead at this time. You really can't go wrong with black. I hear black has better sustain.

Black SGs are lovely, but I've never been sure about the black trans finish.

Well, I just gave my local shop the go ahead to order a trans black fade lefty SG Modern. It's going to take 90 to 120 days per Gibson. I asked if they would build a left handed Kirk Douglas SG and Gibson said no. Oh well, I will have to live with an SG with a maple cap and 24 fret ebony board. So life goes.

For every amp, you must have 2 guitars.
For every 1 guitar you must have main and backup amp.
