It's all about the Rrrrrriiiffffffss!

Today I retracked the vocals 5 times.... Ended up grabbing a dynamic mic. I think I hate condenser mics. I'm too loud for them maybe? Or probably not good enough to sing into them.

I added 2 little identical solos.
It might be almost good enough now.

Condenser mic’s are not my favorite choice for metal vocals....they can be alright in the right preamps with the right compressor, but a good dynamic is usually much easier to get the metal vocal vibe captured with a result that will “sit” in the mix in a more natural way. Both mic types require some attention to technique, but I feel that dynamic mic’s are more forgiving for the style. Just an opinion. :cool: (y)

I agree with this 100%. My condenser is coming off the stand and going back in it's box for now.
